Join us as we celebrate the best of the best in the BOMA Southern Region. During the Awards Banquet, we will celebrate our Southern Region TOBY winners and Southern Region Member of the Year. The program will also feature the installation of the 2017-2018 Southern Region Board and presentation of Southern Region Lifetime Memberships.

Dress for this event is evening attire/black-tie. Tickets are required to attend this event.

Highlighting the evening will be a live performance from the Atlanta Pops Ensemble!

The program includes a broad range of classic Pops music showcasing the American South, including Ray Bauduc and Bob Haggart’s “South Rampart Street,” Leroy Anderson’s “Serenata,” and a memorable performance of Jay Ungar’s “Ashokan Farewell,” featuring concertmaster Mary Matthews Burndrett.

The orchestra and its musicians play concerts throughout the Southeast each year for special events, Community Concert Series and schools and universities. The Pops also accompanies many other performances for celebrity artists on tour, seasonal concerts and National and International business conventions such as L’Oreal and Cessna Aircraft. Orchestra members also play as pit musicians for the Atlanta Broadway Series (including Celtic Woman, Trans Siberian Railroad and Mannheim Steamroller), for Theatre of The Stars, the Atlanta Ballet and the Atlanta Opera as well as many independent groups and regional orchestras.

The current Conductor and Music Director is Dr. Jason Altieri who also serves as Associate Conductor of the Reno, NV Philharmonic and Director of the Orchestra Program at The University of Nevada, Reno.

Photos and video of the Atlanta Pops is strictly prohibited during the performance.
