Q. When will registration open? What are the registration rates?

A. Registration opens in the fall of 2018.

Q. I heard the BOMA Georgia Foundation is hosting this conference. Is that true?

A. Yes, the BOMA Georgia Foundation, a 501c3 charitable organization, is the host for the 2019 Southern Region Conference. This means that your participation in the conference will help advance real estate education and research for CRE professionals throughout the Southeast. Visit www.BOMAGeorgiaFoundation.org for more information.

Q. Who can attend the Southern Region Conference?

A. Professionals working or who have worked (retired and non-active) in the real estate industry. These include owners, asset managers, property managers and facility managers, building engineers and technical professionals, products and service providers and students. The conference does provide separate registration for spouses and guests. Please see our spouse and guest policy.

Q. Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?

A. Yes, you will receive a confirmation email immediately following your purchase. If you did not receive this email, please contact the BOMA Georgia Office at (404) 475-9980. All registrants will receive a reminder email prior to the Southern Region Conference.

 

Q. Are there any good places to eat?

A. Yes. We suggest using Google or apps like Yelp to find some of the best restaurants around the Hyatt Regency Savannah to dine. Savannah is an extremely walkable city!

Q. Are there any activities for my family?

All registered spouses and guests will be permitted to attend all evening events and the TOBY banquet as part of their registration.

Q. Is there Wi-Fi at the conference?

A. Yes! Connect to 2019 BOMA SRC and enter the password rooterplus to access the conference WiFi

Q. I have questions about sponsorship, what should I do?

Q. Where do I book my hotel room?

A. Our hotel is the Hyatt Regency Savannah. The Foundation has secured a special room rate for guests of the 2019 Southern Region Conference. Your hotel stay is not included in your conference registration and must be reserved separately. Please visit our hotel page for more information.

Q. Can I transfer my registration?

A. Please contact the BOMA Georgia office immediately in the event that you need to transfer a registration, (404) 475-9980. Due to the time constraints of transferring registrations, we cannot process a transfer of registration after March 22, 2019.

Q. Can I register a spouse, partner or guest?

A. Yes, please see our registration policy for spouses and guests.

Q. How much is parking?

A. For the convenience of our guests, Hyatt Regency Savannah is pleased to offer secure underground valet parking. There is also self-parking available at a nearby City of Savannah garage.

  • Valet Parking is $31.00 per night for standard cars and oversize vehicles/vans.*
  • Full in/out privileges as much as needed.
  • Self Parking is available in the Whitaker Street Garage at $16 per night. In/out privileges do not apply.


*Vans and oversized trucks are allowed with maximum height of van approximately 7½ feet. There is very limited space available for vans and oversized trucks.  Additional  oversized vechicle parking is available in the following locations:

  • Whitaker Street Parking Garage  0.2 miles away
  • The Visitor Center Lot  0.6 miles away

Q. How do I get to the conference?

A. The 2019 Southern Region Conference is set at the Hyatt Regency Savannah.. Directions to the hotel can be found here.

The preferred Airport for air travelers is Savannah Hilton Head International. www.savannahairport.com

Transportation

TAXI: approximately $28+ $5 for additional passengers.

AMTRAK: 15 Miles/ 10 minutes Taxi is $15 flat fee and $3 for each additional person.

Additionally, to help you get around Savannah during your stay, the following options offer convenient, local transportation:

CHATHAM AREA TRANSIT (CAT) is the local transit system. Each CAT fare costs you $1.50 and if you have to transfer buses, you will have to purchase another fare on the second bus for $1.50.  

DOWNTOWN SHUTTLE (dot): complimentary shuttle service offering transportation throughout the Savannah Historic District.

  • From Savannah International Airport (8 miles):
    Take I-95 South to I-16 East. Exit at Montgomery St. Turn right onto Bay Street. The Hyatt Regency Savannah beach hotel is 3 blocks on left.
  • From Jacksonville:
    Take I-95 North to I-16 east. Exit at Montgomery St. Turn Right on Bay Street. The Hyatt Regency Savannah is 3 Blocks on left.

Q. What is the refund policy?

A:

  • Registration MUST be paid by March 3, 2019 for early registration discount
  • After March 3, 2019 there is a $100 late fee.
  • Please be aware that there are no refunds after March 3, 2019 for registration fees based on guarantees we must provide the hotel.
  • Please note that all fees do not include Parking Fees, if any.

Q. What is the dress attire?

A. Dress for all conference events is business casual, with the exception of The TOBY Gala which is evening attire/black tie.

Q. What is the Foundation's impact on the industry ?

A. Since the Foundation was created in 2014, it has awarded 237 scholarships to individuals seeking a certificate or professional designation in real estate. The Foundation has also conducted six research studies and produced a white paper, all designed to give real estate owners and managers new tools to add value to their properties.

Q. Can I donate directly to the Foundation?

A. Yes! Your support will make a difference in the professional and personal lives of real estate professionals and will ultimately advance the entire industry. Your donation to the Foundation makes a profound and lasting impact on the industry for future generations.
